I was listening to Breaking All Illusions recently, and I noticed an interesting thing on there, that it seemed to have a huge stress on "Living life in the moment" and "Starting the cycle," and I couldn't help but think that this stemmed from Octavarium's theme of repeating cycles. Upon looking further into Systematic Chaos. Even further in, "This is the life" seemed to go with Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence's overarching theme of dealing with flaws among your own life, and "Bridges in the sky" seems to deal with spiritual connections among many things, in the sense of Metropolis Pt. 2, Scenes From a Memory. This led to believe this:

My Man! You have a lot of time on your hands. But, as crazy as it seems, DT is a collection of such high end musicians that it is possible that the guys actually did set out to make a totally inside-the-circle-of-trust concept album. You may be really close on the idea, but I don't think that you aced the song list. I'd love to hear the guys answer to that question. I bet that they would think that it was awesome that you took all of this from ADTOE. I will say this though, if you have been a fan for at least a little while, and have heard all of their works, and you have a really good ear for music, you will hear them throw in a riff from an earlier song, or hear a little theme from another album. It's all just gifted makers of music tying everything together in a subtle and unobtrusive yet sublime way. The thing to remember is that it's not so much the why they did it, but that they did it so well, so you and I can enjoy it. |

you just have to not think so far into out, pure and simple it's written by the same group of people. it's a writing style just like authors who write novels, you will find the similarities in the work. |
