Today, me and my 6 year old kid, saw the "Systematic Chaos" Make Of DVD (one more time ) , and oh my god, what a Masterpiece!! You guys are realy, realy awseome, you must be to do something like that!
I am sorry if any of you don't agree, but to me, doubtless, it's your best of the best albums, and one of the best Metal, Prog, Rock, Heavy thing I've ever heard and will, for shore!!
I really hope that you make one so good or better!

Congrats, one more time, and call Mike, get along, life is to short to throw long life friendships away like that...

Hugs everyone!

Last well rather long!

I definitely enjoy that album too even though some people regard it as one of their weakest, there's some really strong tracks on there! The first time I saw them (ever) was on the Chaos in Motion tour in Sydney and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I think time will heal all wounds with MP, no doubt they will talk again, there's too much history there, but yea it will take time.

Contrary to most longtime DT fans, I really enjoy SC, enough that I'd put it in my top 3 or 4. Lyrically, it's pretty weak in my opinion, but the balls out metal attack keeps me listening. I think it's better than the studio albums that came before & after anyway.

I love Systematic Chaos too(like all DT albums) but I can't see Dream Theater's progressive soul exactly in this album. It's not a weak album(dictionary mmeaning), it is one of their "more" metal albums.(Like Train of Thought)

I'm sure this used to be talked about years ago, but does anyone else like the 5.1 mix on the DVD. I know it's only in Dolby Digital, not even DTS, and not uncompressed audio like a SACD, but man it sounds freaking awesome to me. I have some SACDs and DVD-audio discs that don't come close to the dynamic range of that mix (they're all much older albums, so...). Took it to a friend of mines house who owns an insane home theater, and we were shacking the entire house with the subwoofer and I really enjoyed the rest of the mix as well. A blu-ray audio surround mix of the latest album would be fantastic, but I guess that one disc may be the only surrounds we get from DT, at least until they start re-releasing them for their 40th anniversary like King Crimson is.

I don't get why so many people have so much animosity against SC. I like it very much and I initiated my brother in DT with this album.

Well, I have no animosity towards it. In fact, it's probably my favorite DT album. But I enjoy the heavier, shorter songs more than the epic stories. But that doesn't mean I dislike them, just like them less!

hi guys, I'm glad to know that I'm not crazy!!!let me explain: I've always thought that SC is one of the best DT albums, but the press consider it not , for them it is the worst!!!??????
I define song like IN THE PRESENCE OF ENEMIES (1&2),a MASTERPIECE . I'ld be happy if they play this song in the next DT concert in Perugia (ITALY) on 22 feb in front of me ...in the first rows (as usual) ...with other MP like:
OCTAVARIUM
BREAKING ALL ILLUSIONS
LOST NOT FORGOTTEN
CHANGE OF SEASONS
OUTCRY
BEYOUND THIS LIFE
