Dream Theater

VIP Package T-Shirts
October 15, 2011 3:11:07 AM UTC Post #1

I finally paid the $150 for the LA show.
Really lucked out and ended in 5th row. The special t shirts weren't there at the Nokia Theatre, but was told they'd be mailed. I finally received them today. The design is awful!! It looks like something you'd get in a flea market in Mexico!! It just says:
Dream Theater

Live In Concert

Nothing VIP about it.

I wondered who else feels this way.
I don't mean to sound like a spoiled brat. I've been going to concerts for 30 years. Just baffled.

Yeah I was super disappointed in the VIP t-shirt. At least give us a concert tour t shirt for god's sake....this shirt was terrible I usually wear a XL but to play it safe I ordered the XXL and it was skin tight....I wouldn't wear that shirt for anything I gave it to my girl to sleep in it fits her 115 pound frame. Really the only time I have been disappointed with anything regarding DT.

Thanks for the response.
I've been at numerous DT shows & I've seen some of the VIP shirts. One had the majesty logo & date in gold lettering. It really stood out. I wrote livenation an email, but got no response. I thought VIP meant "Very Important Person"....hmmmm.

Could you take a photo of it and post it here? I'm pretty curious as to how the shirt is.

Trust us.

Well, all the rest is terrific! The laminate, the picks, the photo, the poster....but the shirt........Oh my God!!!!!!!! WTF was that?

The fabric is horrible, the design is horrible, everything is horrible.

Travel 10,000 miles to see the show and M&G twice: priceless........but, at least a decent shirt.....C´mon guys!!!!!!!! Next time a little more quality........

How can I post the photo? I have it.

@Signatus: Use this code:

Or much easier, you can use the little picture between the U and the chain, and you just write the URL and the website automatically puts the img tags, and shows the picture.

Or even easier, just post the link.

For the $150 (i.e., no M&G), you didn't get the laminate or the photo...the poster was OK, the picks are useable (we got 3 sets, so I broke mine open) but thin. The shirt was pretty lame overall, though I didn't mind the thin material at the show (Orpheum in Boston was a sweatbox!), but I haven't put it on since the original washing...I got an XL, but I expect it to be a L or M by now.

Still, 8th row, seats 2-4 from center were the best seats I've ever had at any show, so I'll live with those memories longer than any trinkets.

This is the life I belong to
