In the chant part for BMUBMD, the backing vocals go up very, very high.

To be honest, I don't think they would have fit too well on other songs. Perhaps on the prechoruses for On The Backs Of Angels, if the harmonies went up a couple of octaves as well as down, they could have reached A5, but I think it would sound forced. The chants in BMUBMD are that high up because he's basically screaming the words at you. Very effective, but wouldn't be if overused. ---------------------------

I feel that James in particular sounds renewed and invigorated on this album, he's sounding so much more organic. |
