Dream Theater Charity Auction
to benefit Camp Good Days
Presents...

A TRULY "ONE OF A KIND" ITEM...

A "Chaos in Motion" Tour Tee AUTOGRAPHED by each of the band member's children!

This package also comes with the Adult Size of the same tee, autographed by "the DAD'S" aka Dream Theater!

What is the story behind this very creative package? Well, when the members of Dream Theater were so kindly autographing shirts for the purpose of this auction series, some of the band members' children were present. The kids asked if they could also sign a shirt for the auction, wanting to do their part to help support Camp Good Days!

The shirts were chosen...those containing the cartoon images of the band members, as that particular shirt came in both adult and children's sizes. And the kids made the decisions! They decided that each child would autograph the shirt next to the image of his or her father.

On the child's autographed shirt you will find the signatures of:

Chloe and Chance LaBrie
Ari and Kayla Rudess
Melody and Max Portnoy
Brandon and Christian Myung
Sami, Kiara and Reny Petrucci

DREAM THEATER CHARITY AUCTION SERIES TO BENEFIT CAMP GOOD DAYS & SPECIAL TIMES
presents:

Ernie Ball~Music Man "John Petrucci" Autographed Guitar

Syracuse, NY -
As part of a continuing series to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times, the Ernie Ball/Music Man Guitar Company has generously built and donated a beautiful "John Petrucci" model guitar, currently available for auction at Ebay's "Dream Theater Charity Auction Site". John Petrucci is best known as the guitarist and founding member of the progressive metal band Dream Theater. He is also the band's producer and main lyricist as well as an original member of the acclaimed Liquid Tension Experiment with Tony Levin. John is a long standing veteran of Joe Satriani's prestigious G3 tours along with Steve Vai, Eric Johnson and Paul Gilbert.

Since August 2007, Petrucci and his band mates have been donating items for their "Dream Theater Charity Auction Series to benefit Camp Good Days". Camp Good Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer and other life challenges. For 29 years, Camp Good Days has been providing free residential camping programs at their Recreational Facility in Branchport, New York as well as year-round support activities. Such an accomplishment would never be possible without friends like Dream Theater and events like this charity auction.

The EBMM John Petrucci Six String Guitar is the current model and option for the Petrucci Series. The color is Desert Gold and the guitar sports a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and a basswood body. Of course, John Petrucci has autographed this guitar as well. The Ebay auction began on July 2nd and will end Wednesday, July 9th.

About Camp Good Days and Dream Theater:
The Charity Auction Series is the brainchild of siblings Mike Portnoy, drummer for Dream Theater and Samantha Cattaneo, Syracuse Office Coordinator for Camp Good Days. Samantha is a pediatric cancer survivor herself, and so the mission of Camp Good Days has been one that both Mike and she appreciated. Her disease has obviously helped steer her career toward Camp Good Days. Her brother's success with Dream Theater seemed a fortuitous way to gain support for such a worthy organization.

CHARITY AUCTION SERIES TO BENEFIT
CAMP GOOD DAYS & SPECIAL TIMES

Charity Auction Series Wraps Up with BIG Items

Syracuse, NY - Since August 2007, the progressive rock band Dream Theater has been donating items for a charity auction to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times.

The Dream Theater Charity Auction Series was intended to coincide with the band's "Chaos in Motion" tour schedule; as the tour has just ended, the auction will be ending as well. There are smaller auction items that will be added to the Ebay site daily over the next two weeks (band autographed t-shirts, cd's, dvd's and posters) and two significant items at the auction's end. The first, a "Music Man" John Petrucci-model guitar, which Ernie Ball has generously built and donated for this cause, will be added to the auction on Wednesday, July 2nd and will be available for 7 days. The second item is a truly unique, one-of-a-kind shirt. Dream Theater offers a concert t-shirt with their likeness in cartoon animation. We have available one of these shirts, signed by all members of the band. However, with that will also be a child's size version of the shirt, signed by each of the band member's children (ranging in age from 2 to 12)! Both shirts will be put up for auction on July 9th and will be available for 7 days. The child-autographed shirt is the result of the band member's children wanting to do their part to help raise money for Camp Good Days and so seemed like the perfect way to end the Charity Auction Series.

LOS ANGELES - After recently celebrating the band’s 20-year anniversary, Dream Theater returns with its first-ever best-of collection. Spanning 1991-2005, the two-disc set contains rare single edits, B-sides and a trio of new remixes that spotlight that band’s nonpareil musicianship, complex arrangements and amazing songwriting.

Referring to Dream Theater’s first and only major radio hit, “Pull Me Under,” the compilation’s tongue-in-cheek title is a testament not only to the band’s sense of humor but also highlights the acclaimed New York-based quintet’s ability to make music and cultivate a legion of fans on its own terms, without help from radio or MTV. The collection features more than two hours of progressive hard rock from James LaBrie (vocals), John Myung (bass), John Petrucci (guitar/vocals), Mike Portnoy (drums/vocals) and Jordan Rudess (keyboards).

The collection contains three newly remixed versions of tracks from Dream Theater’s breakout 1992 album, Images And Words: the aforementioned “Pull Me Under” as well as “Take The Time” and “Another Day.” Portnoy says this album presented the perfect opportunity to give the songs a bit of a facelift. “The original mixes always sounded a bit ’80s’ to me, so we had our good friend and longtime mixer Kevin Shirley give the tracks a bit of an update to sound more like the rest of the Dream Theater catalog. The songs remain the same (no pun intended-Kevin just mixed that album as well), but there are little nuances in the tracks that I forgot were originally there, and it’s very cool to hear them again.”

The collection’s 22 songs are split evenly between two discs, which are divided into “The Dark Side” (the metallic) and “The Light Side” (the melodic). Filled with some of the band’s most sinister sounds, the first disc lives up to the billing of “The Dark Side.” Longtime fans will appreciate the abundance of alternative versions of classic tracks, including single edits of “Lie,” “Home,” and “Misunderstood.” Disc One concludes with two tracks from the band’s 2005 album Octavarium: “The Root Of All Evil” and “Sacrificed Sons.”

The second disc, “The Light Side,” spotlights the band’s melodic side and features an alternate mix of “Through Her Eyes,” a single edit of “Solitary Shell” and “To Live Forever,” a 1994 B-side from the U.K.-only single of “Lie.”

A grassroots phenomenon for 20 years, Dream Theater continues to record studio albums acclaimed for award-winning musicianship as well as artistic vision. To meet the demands of a demanding global fan base, the band also maintains an active touring schedule that regularly includes sold-out performances around the world.

Dream Theater has currently been on the road since June 2007, traveling the globe in support of their latest studio album Systematic Chaos. Their world tour will conclude with a final run throughout North America in May as they premiere their “Progressive Nation” package tour with Opeth, Between The Buried And Me, and 3 supporting.

CHARITY AUCTION SERIES TO BENEFIT
CAMP GOOD DAYS & SPECIAL TIMES

Charity Auction Series to Begin May 5th

Syracuse, NY - An Ebay auction beginning on Monday, May 5th will kick off the second wave of the Dream Theater Charity Auction Series to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times. Camp Good Days is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families whose lives have been touched by cancer and other life threatening challenges. For 29 years, Camp Good Days has been providing free residential camping programs at their Recreational Facility in Branchport, New York as well as year-round support activities. Such an accomplishment would never be possible without friends like Dream Theater and events like this charity auction.

Since August 2007, Dream Theater has been donating band-related memorabilia to Camp Good Days in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Camp via a series of Ebay auctions. The Dream Theater Charity Auction Series generally runs in conjunction with the band's tour dates and so will begin May 5th, as the band reconvenes it's "Chaos in Motion" Tour.

The items being auctioned in the coming weeks will include (but not be limited to) an autographed copy of Dream Theater's newest CD, "Greatest Hit (and 21 other pretty cool songs)", compliments of Rhino Records and a band- and author-autographed copy of Rich Wilson's Dream Theater biography, "Lifting Shadows". Perhaps the pinnacle of the auction series will be a "Music Man" John Petrucci-model guitar, which Ernie Ball has generously built and donated for this cause. Autographed tour shirts and tour books will be auctioned intermittently as well; hopefully creating different price levels for potential bidders.

Upcoming Dates

Please check back soon.
