The Rules

Please read these few rules before indulging into our chat, as these will provide all users with the best possible experience.

  1. Keep the language in English at all times. If you absolutely need to talk to another person in your maternal language, please do this in private. This can be done by doubleclicking that persons nick.

  2. Stylizing the text in the chat is generally not allowed (This means colors, bold text, ascii art, and such). The reason is that colors and bold text and such makes the whole thing difficult to follow, especially when the colors doesn't look the same on all systems.

  3. CAPS (writing in BIG letters) is also not allowed, for the same reason as above. Generally, this is perceived as shouting.

  4. We have a rule about using bandmembers nicks too. Please never use a nick that can be mistaken for a bandmember. Impersonating is something we don't want in our chat.

  5. Bashing bandmembers, exmembers, other bands, other music-styles, other chat users and such is not something we take lightly. If you want to discuss music, please respect the opinion of others too. Behave! Treat others like you yourself wants to be treated. Remember, this is typed words, with no showing of emotions and such. Also, we are a multinational chat, with different cultures and personalities and ages. So if you write something, it may be misunderstood by the parties reading the message.

  6. Most importantly: The people with a @ (also called chat administrators or operators) are there to protect the chat from being corrupted by harassing users and such. What they say, is also the rule in the chat, even if it's not listed in this "rulebook". If you have a complaint about the chat operators, tell it to them directly, or to webmaster@dreamtheater.net. The chat is not a right, it's a privilege.
These rules have been set to keep the chat a nice place to stay. Keep in mind, these are not the strictest rules of chats. These rules have been set to keep the chat organized, without too much restrictions, to be enjoyable for all, whoever and whereever you are.

Thank you for your attention
