Now's the perfect time. New Album, New Drummer, New attitude. I know I'd love to see the new material on a nice crispy Blu-ray. I'd also love to see some genie madness close-up.

I would like a new DVD. Just by watching the Peruvian Skies performance from High Voltage I was dying out of excitement, I can't imagine how a live DVD would be. By the way, some proper filming this time and giving a fair amount of shots to each member, and on the video mix, please, when it's a bass part, put Myung, when it's a keyboard part, Rudess, and so on.
Yeah, some of the videos have been kind of lame. JP's in the middle of some killer solo and they got the camera on Labrie drinking water!
Exactly. There's even the band's commentaries about 5 Years in a LIVEtime when they are saying like "believe it or not, there's someone playing the keyboard", because the camera wouldn't focus on Derek while he was playing, until up to some point when the solo was almost over. That needs to be fixed.

I would really like DT to make a live DVD as I won't be able to see them live this time around. I've seen DT 6 times and I am very dissapointed that they chose not to come to Minneapolis MN this time for whatever reason that is. Let alone any midwest area for that matter. Pretty mad but what can I do. I'm only a paying customer. On a postive not I still haven't heard the new album, Amazon shipped ADTOE on 11/10 so Im excited to get it on Tuesday. So friggin excited!!!

Please come to Minneapolis! Please!!!

am curious what else will change AP (After Portnoy). Will they start using multiple shows per DVD like every olther band?

This.

Would love to see a new live DVD! With some of the new songs and some of the songs that have not yet been recorded. A whole gig, though, not a compilation like CiM.

DT were shooting a OTBOA video during polish concert, as far as I know. New DVD would also be pleased :)

Hoping for a live BR and re-release of Live at Budokan and Score on BR

I'm highly anticipating a new live release. I hoping for a show in Australia or or South America to be filmed.

Well, I was waiting to see a DVD/Blu-ray of DT performing the AA Saga... that's probably never happening now.

But I'll take a new DVD/Blu-ray as long as I get a Mangini drum solo.

Oh, my bad. Yeah, Score is fine.

If you're talking about their music videos, they they do kind of suck, but thier concert videos are great other than the recording quality. Blu-ray . We're not talking about music videos though.

I'd totally buy a new dvd/bluray/beta if they wanted to sell it to me.

Their videos are always awful, so I hope not.
I'm assuming the OP meant LIVE video, not like a video single...

With that in mind, blu-ray please! PLEASE!!
You assumed correctly.

DarkLord_Lalinc's picture

I hope so. It's the perfect time to release a live DVD and have people from all around the world enjoy the brand new stage production and energy.

Also, this needs to be a hi-res shooting so there can exist a worthy partner to Budokan and Score. Chaos in Motion was not so great.

YtseTimes's picture

If it's got Dream Theater and Live in Concert written on it, I will buy it.

There has been one song of high quality footage so far, I would like to see more (whether online or Blu-ray) from this tour because it is "special." And then another Blu-ray after their third studio album with the genie.

Meh. Don't really have a preference. Don't think they could do any of the songs justice with a video anyways. Or at least I don't think they could. Their first single was ten minutes! I can't see the shorter songs having much real radio potential either, just a hunch, when it comes to DT, the shorter sensitive songs are power ballads, and those have been out of style since the early 90s.
