Not trying to be a complainer--I love DT and am eagerly awaiting the new self-titled album, as well as Live at Luna Park video(s). I ordered the "Dream Theater" deluxe CD/DVD set ($19.99 version, would love $99.99 version but can't afford it) recently through the Roadrunner Records website. While doing so I also opened an account.
To date I have not received the promised confirmation e-mail regarding my purchase.
Nor have I been able to log in to my account at roadrunnerrecords.com, despite the fact that I carefully entered my e-mail address and password (twice for verification) and wrote both down. Every time I attempt to log in, it doesn't recognize my e-mail or password. I hit the "forgot password button" (three times over the course of two days), and got the "an e-mail has been sent to your address to help you access the site, your password has not been changed" message on all three occasions, but have yet to receive the promised e-mails.
I looked all over the website and finally found a place to post a question or complaint on the "Get Satisfaction" section, and received an answer to my billing question, but not to my complaint about the lack of confirmation e-mail and promised e-mails regarding the difficulty logging into my account. I have responded to the posts from the Roadrunner employee (several times) thanking him for answering one of my questions, but asking him to please follow up on the other two questions and have received no further response.
I am not putting this out there to be angry or rude, but I am concerned that when the download link for the album becomes available on the release date, I will not be able to do so, because I don't get e-mails from Roadrunner and can't log in to my account online to get the download link.
Is anyone else out there having difficulty?
I pre-ordered "A Dramatic Turn of Events" through either the Roadrunner site or Dream Theater site (can't remember which for sure) and had no problem whatsoever. In fact, the physical packet with the CD, DVD, etc. arrived the day before the release date.
Wouldn't post a public cry for help or information, but have exhausted all other avenues.
