Dream Theater – New Album Coming Soon | Official Site
I kid I kid. That's a stupid forum topic. Please don't answer that question and do something productive with your time.
@ChinoDTF: I agree with you, I can listen to Jordan play solo or in a group all day long. (except when his keyboard broke in Chicago XD with LTE)
Kevin Moore. :)
Couldn't pick, they all have their unique qualities. Each member is extremely talented and they are humble and personable people. LaBrie is a great singer and a sound guy, Petrucci is an amazing guitarist and is really humble and down to earth, Rudess is an affable, gregarious guy with an infectiously fun personality, Mangini seems like, and I believe he will prove to be, a really modest and easy-going person with likeable characteristics and Myung is an outstandingly skilled musician with the most nimble fingers I've seen in a bass player, and, although the more reserved member of DT, is nonetheless a nice guy. A great band filled with great people...did I miss anyone out?!!
All of them..........Sorry but i will not seperate perfection
Current favorite band member: John Petrucci
Former favorite band member: Mike Portnoy (he would be my favorite band member if he was still jn the band).
Thanks for the wizardry, your genius be myriad.
The guy whose name starts with J
The whole freaking band!
I have an autographed photo of JP over my wife's side of the bed........
Absolutely classic!!! Maybe my partner will let me put a pic of DT above his head??? I jest, I do have my DT gear in my computer room.....but this I will never forget.....thanks man ;)
What you all meant to say was "Kevin Moore."
Jordan. He's just the coolest guy.
dudes you would not have the band if it was carried by one person the new album shows of the talent of all of them you have really heavy with this melodic singing and all kinds of time changes and fills they compliment each other with there playing
John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy
James, my all time favorite singer, and a funny and insightful guy.
John Petrucci. Always has been, always will be.
Definitely Mike Mangini, but I'm a drummer so I guess I'd be a little prejudiced. What I like is that he allows the group to take it to the next level, not that there was anything wrong with the previous level, I just like where they're going now.
Portnoy and Rudess
the Johns.... both are very calm, creative and overall... wise
I'm a guitar and bass player, so those 2 are the biggest inspiration for me
Every member are each as God-like as each other. I'm never a chooser, but I'm really liking what Jordan Rudess does recently, he's inspired me to start keyboard for my band. Now where to find that dusty old Yamaha... :D
John Petrucci. Not because I don't like the other members (which I do), but as a guitarist I looked up to him the most when I began my musical endeavors. Of course, his stuff was way out of my league at the time, but he holds a special place in my heart because of the role he played.
James LaBrie. Just because he is the main factor that got me into DT music. His voice is unique. Plus, he is so classy and funny guy. I would say Petrucci in the second place.

And you've got nothing better to do than troll forums? Talk about ironic (look it up).
Petrucci for sure, and Labrie close behind.
Why do you call everyone you disagree with a "troll"? I think you're the troll.

Moore FTW. Congrats on being the first !!
He's so awesome, his bass solos have bass solos.
LaBrie is the one I'd most like to be friends with, but if we're talking specifically in terms of favourite band-member, I'd throw as much emphasis on the musicianship as the person (if not more!), in which case Petrucci is far and away the winner. Stunning musician, fantastic songwriter, but perfectly humble regardless.
All great guys, though. This is my favourite line-up, personalitywise.
