The header is so big.
James LaBrie, absolutely. Personality-wise, songwriting skills, the fact that his voice is gorgeous and perfect in nearly everything, my 2nd favorite singer, and he's just an ultimate badass.
They'll probably swap between This is the Life and Beneath the Surface, both being Petrucci ballads and all. And I'm sure that Far From Heaven and Breaking All Illusions will be paired towards the end of each show. Maybe a wildcard thrown in there per night... "Outcry" when they do a show over in the Middle East for sure.
I never thought of it sounding like Lady Wore Black.....this is until now. Queensryche with MorphWiz. They do better at Queensryche than Queensryche does right now.
bosk1 and I, both on the civilian level. :P
I really liked it when I first heard it, but man... that initial excitement wore off quicker than I had hoped. It's got a really exciting introduction though, one that is an absolute classic of theirs and it's what I hope will be a terrific sendoff to the rest of the CD. The vocals sound great, even if I think the melody is kinda lacking. Reminds me of "Trial of Tears" in a weird way, but I'm not a fan of that song much either.
This just manages to be my penultimate Dream Theater song, maybe even the all-time favorite on days when "Finally Free" isn't quite doing the trick.
