Sure. If some is good, more is better!
I agree that Periphery was pretty bad. I had no ability to distinguish what was happening musically until maybe the last song. It all jumbled into a garbled mess and the instruments drowned out the singer (which was not necessarily bad for me because i don't really enjoy all the screaming)
Dream Theater was amazing, though. I have never been to a better concert and probably won't find one until the next Dream Theater show I go to.
@Bluefish: Yep, that was unfortunate, but he just kept trucking like nothing was wrong and it still sounded great regardless. There was also a problem with feedback in his Breaking All Illusions solo and he had to manipulate the volume pedal when ever he stopped playing. It just shows how focused he is and how incredible of a guitarist he is.
Indeed he is.
Great show. Did anyone else notice the problem with John's guitar dropping out of the mix early in Bridges in the Sky?
I'm seeing the Toronto show and it looks like were getting the outcry set. not bad, but i would rather see setlist 2 only for Breaking All Illusions (DT if you by some miracle see this, drop The great debate and put in Breaking all illusions!!). this should be played every night as it is the best song on the album, probably one of their all time epics - up there with metropolis, Learning to live, SFaM(whole album),Octavarium, etc...
I love Breaking All Illusions and Caught in a Web in the second set list.
Definitely set list 2 for me. I don't mind that they are not playing a different set each night. Alternating set lists is good enough if your only seeing a couple of shows and are lucky to see each get each set. I'm seeing them in New York and Albany so hopefully that will be the case.
On September 5, a press release was issued on Live at Luna Park.
