I love the very end of Bridges in the Sky. The drums on the last part are just awesome! I agree that the mix on the album seems a bit low.
I really like the live version of "Learning To Live" off the Lives Scenes From NY album. I just like the whole improvisational feel to the solos. But at the same time I like the studio versions of "Lines In the Sand" and "Trial of Tears" better, I think the solos came out better on the studio versions of those songs.
For me, I would put this one as their best, with "Scenes From A Memory" and "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" in a tie for 2nd. With this album, I can honestly say I love every single song on it. I can't say that about any other album.
Another "uplifting" section for me in the same song is around the 10:20 mark up until the singing comes back in. I also love when they do solos that change keys a gazillion times but always manage to work their way back to the original key, like in Trial of Tears, both the guitar and keyboard solos in that song.
I was really wanting to go to the DC show. I am in a wheelchair and when I checked where the seating was for wheelchairs it was all the way in the back of the theater. I figured with everyone standing for the concert that I wouldn't be able to see a thing. I think if they come back to the same venue next time around, I'm just going to bite the bullet and go no matter what.
The songs on ADTOE are grouped into four events. I haven't been able to piece together the significance.
