Now pushed back to November 5 apparently for reasons that will be abundantly clear at that time. A rather disappointing delay in my mind.
It appears it will be released in North America on November 5. This seems like an incredibly delayed release. I'm curious why the tour video of the last album would come out AFTER the release of the new studio album. My thought is that Luna Park should have been released sometime this summer but now it's another five months away. I don't see the logic here at all.
I did not detect a skip (played from cd).
Interesting combo Kevin. I agree with the technicality influence of Yes. The Chick Corea influence that you hear is very interesting, I can't say I've made that comparison myself.
I agree with Jorge's mentioning of Rush as well. There are also sometimes I might hear a Floyd resemblance.
I have a question though, how many bands on a professional scale can you count where you can detect DT in what they play? I can't think of one and the reason is simple; only these guys can make music the way they do.
I tend to lean towards SFAM for MP's best work but TOT is pretty awesome. Hell everything he played with DT was awesome. And I'll say his best individual song on the drums was Glass Prison. But it's Mangini's show now, I can't wait to see what he does on the next album, I know it will be just as awesome.
